INTRODUCTION

In this blog, the reader is going to find four academic texts where you can identify some important characteristics of qualitative research, such as:
The main and initial author's purpose: to understand the meaning of something that has been building for a community.
The qualitative researchers make fieldwork in order to understand the community's needs and take a position towards it.
Some of the collecting information tools are surveys, interviews, focus group, questionnaires to gather loyal information from the group of people which is being analyzed.
There are other characteristics more specific the reader may observe in this blog through videos about how webbing is a current and useful strategy to improve reading comprehension skills.
Also, there is an article which shows how the cooperative learning strategy helps to improve writing abilities.
In addition, the reader could find a video which explains the qualitative research elements in a project about the importance of awareness in learning second language acquisition, from a cognitive perspective.
Finally, there is qualitative research about the grammar-translation method used in Indonesia as a successful tool to teach English as a foreign language.
Those writings will help to understand the fundamental elements for qualitative research papers.
